Ways to Support Us
We help people with disabilities
achieve greater independence.
Living independently is living much like everyone else – having the same opportunities to succeed, to fail, to make decisions, to pursue enjoyment, to learn, and to experience life. At ETCIL we provide training, resources, and information toward promoting independent living for persons with significant disabilities and their families in communities throughout Northeast Texas.
We’re here to help
every step of the way.
Independent Skills Training
ETCIL provides individualized life skills training for persons with disabilities who desire to gain a particular skill in order to become more independent.
Advocacy & Financial Literacy
Sometimes a person’s ability to maintain an independent living arrangement is threatened by their inability to manage their finances, such as Social Security benefits
Peer
Mentoring
ETCIL provides a supportive environment where individuals with disabilities help one another. Learning from each other’s mistakes and celebrating together in their triumphs.
Information & Referral
ETCIL provides comprehensive and up-to-date information on available resources for people with disabilities.
Transition Services
Home by Choice – Assists Medicaid-eligible adults and children in relocating from nursing facilities or institutionalized settings in order for them to live independently.
